Its a shame that throughout our 21st century, we continue to be marginalized by the color of our skin. What’s worse, every time we mention the atrocities of slavery and their lingering effects, White people are suddenly “up in arms” as we stand accused of Race-Baiting and Guilt-Tripping on those Not responsible for the past.

Yet, the very same people, in the next breath, defend Confederacy as a History (not) to be associated with Slavery, unbeknownst to many that the Civil War was more about owning people than The Mason-Dixie line.

It’s so easy to sweep (that) part of history under the rug by white-washing away the vile act of subjugation, and now censorship, anytime we mention race, the response is, “blah, blah, blah… Do I have to hear your complaining (again), you already had a Black President, what more do you want?”
