I only made the statement to highlight the fact that Black women are treated differently than White women when facing the same abuse, despite the fact that our (own) people devalue themselves by accepting being called “Bitches and Hoes” by the very men who would also abuse them both verbally and emotionally.

I don’t see myself as a victim, but I am inadvertently impacted by other People of Color and their decisions that are exploited by the Media. We (POC) are Not all the same, but still lumped into the same category, nonetheless. It often demeans and devalues an individual simply by racial profiling; not all of it true. I often point out to young Black people that it’s unacceptable to call a woman out of her name on the street, then turn to the young women and point out, “That’s not funny! Why are you giggling?” Because they actually think it’s cute.

Music Videos are mostly to blame and without Parental Guidance, scantily-clad half-naked women glamorize this form of entertainment to lead young women to believe they should dress this way in public, not realizing the implications of their actions and/or the negative response they may receive.

It seems as if the whole world has lost is moral compass between what is acceptable behavior and right vs. wrong.
