Believe it or not, a job makes all the difference.
When you are connected to responsibility, you automatically become more responsible, or at least try to be. I’ve seen people try to get fired, and wind up getting promoted instead. What does that say for the rest of us?
For those of us with their nose to the grindstone, hard working individuals who feel that we’ve done everything right society asks of us, and there’s still No Reward?
One of the main reasons why society has an Opioid, Heroin, Coke/Crack, Meth, Alcohol you-name-it-drug addiction, is because they’re trying to fill the void of what’s missing in their lives. When you have money, (although it may not be the root of happiness), it is the tool that allows you to satisfy your basic creature comforts.
When you take away one’s ability to satisfy the simplest of desires, it makes it even more difficult to focus on lifestyle: diet, exercise, self-improvement, higher-education, etc., its a direct result of job-insecurity, lack of foundation, not knowing where your next dollar is coming from, that leads you toward a downward spiral to depression…
One thing remains true, if you believe you can or you can’t — You’re Right.
